YaBB SE Version: 1.4.0 or 1.4.1
PHP Version:
MySQL Version:
Server Platform:
Link to Forum:

Problem Description:
three days ago my host suspended my website because while i was restoring a database with dave smulders script, they said "This domain alone caused this server to crash earlier this afternoon and was
about to cause it again when we caught it running over 130 MySQL queries per second which was increasing exponentially".

i have explained that i've been using this script in other hosts without any problem, but they insist "there's no way it was a simple restore of an 18MB database. This
thing was creating a ton of processes, a simple restore just does not do that".

now they've agreed to reactivate my account "as long as the database is less than 50MBs when decompressed and does not have any search indexing tables"

my database is just 18mb decompressed but i don't know whats the "search indexing tables" thing. what should i tell them?

it's still 1.4.1 i want to update when i restore the db.

Luis, let your host know that when you get your database/forums upgraded to 1.5.4 that it is actually pretty darned efficient on a MySQL server and uses FAR less server loads than any version 1.5.0 or less.  It does use some indexing, but only to optimize queries.

A 13 meg database is nothing to blink at, however, it's nothing to stress over, either.  I have a site that has a 75+ meg database, PLUS several other sites (at last count, 8 other installations) that also run the same version of YaBB SE, and my load averages are below 0.30 with more than 30 sites on my server (which is also a DNS, Mail, Web, IRC and Game server).

You can ALSO let them know that the next generation forum software we're switching to (SMF) is even MORE optimized for better database handling, uses fewer queries and improves server loads, as well as load times (up to 30% faster in some cases).

And it uses no search (fulltext) indexing, so don't worry.
