Combinging certain SE tables with Vb or vice versa

Problem Description:
I have a SE ad a friend of mine is using VB... we are joining our resources together but niehter of us wants to make our members join the other's board... Is it possible then to link certain table SE uses to similar tables in VB...

For exmple

We would want to combine genral name, un, pw and such details, PM's etc and the others stay board dependant ie post counts etc.  and then if people from VB come over to my YaBB board will their details be able to allow them to utilise my YaBB SE board?

The best way would require heavy modification to both forums - they'd have to modify the members and users tables each time anyone changed their profile.

So, if I change my name from [Unknown] to Unknown Brackets, it would have to update BOTH tables.
