Cant assign membergroups

I have 1.5.4 installed, and I have recetnly promoted a user to Moderator.  The only options under assigning that user a membergroup is Global Moderator or Andministrator though.  I need to assign him to the membergroup Moderators so he can see my Moderator's Only Board.  Can anyone help me out here?

Create a group called Moderators (note the s).  Add that group to your Category access.  Add the person to the individual forum to moderate, change the position on their profile to Moderators.  That's how I did it with my site.
