Executing Sql

When a mod asks you to manually execute a line of SQL, how exactly do you go about doing that? I try to execute the file but my browser and FTP just open it up in a notepad file.

If this topic has already been done sorry. I looked around for something about this but didn't see anything.

Any help is MUCH appreciated. ^_^

The easiest way is through phpMyAdmin or any similar program/script to manage MySQL databases.

Most web hosts already have it installed - Check in their control panel or similar for your account.

Otherwise, you can get it at http://www.phpmyadmin.net/.
