How to increase space available for attachments

I need to do a couple things,

first I need to increase the space available for attachments and

I also need to add more attachment types.

I have (and still am) looking for how to do this, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

look at the installed mods settings and options page in the admin section

I didn't think I had installed any "mods" so I didn't look there. I'll try to educate myself more, I'm so busy just administering the content...

its not technically a mod, its in the standard YSE package, its with installed mods though presumably because it was a "bonus" feature that doesnt come with yabb gold

You'll have to get your host to modify the setting in php.ini.
