What version of PHP, I think this might be a bug with PHP. I can't remember if I saw it in the bug tracker. Might want to check though.

I had a problem very similar to this when I first fired up YaBBSE.

The host had to clear out a tmp file which was full and was causing the problem. I'll try and look up the email I got from them about it so I can advise the file name.

I face the same problem too. The software start crashing the server since v1.4.0 . My site has been shut down by my hosting company once, cos the forum always crash the server every 3 to 4 days and it has been going on for a few months.

I had Unknown do all the updates for my site.  Its as good as its going to get.  Haven't had anyone complaints as of late.  Maybe all is fixed.  I'm on a dedicated server with loads of features.  I have all the latest software.  My site doesn't get huge traffic about 3 million hits per month.  I average around 40 members online per day.  Nothing extreme.
