Check your Settings.php.  When you run upgrade.php, make sure Settings.php is writable.

I am having this same problem.  Can you guys login via the bottom user/password boxes on the index page?

I can log in there, but if I use the "login page", it craps out.

This is a fresh install of 1.5.1 final.  MySQL 4.0.12, PHP 4.2.2 and Apache 1.3.27.

This happens in IE 6 and Opera 7.0.3.  I refuse to install mozilla.. :)

no, this also doesn´t work for me.

my settings.php was also writeable during upgrade.

i can access all my data in the board, but after every click i have to login with my username and pwd......what could that be  ? (it´s 100% tested not a browser problem)

If you register a new user, can it login?

Have you checked all the files and made sure you uploaded everything?

Is your server's time correct?

Change your cookie name and enable local storage of cookies.  This is consistently becoming more of a problem, and I have verified it with my own boards.  When you accept the default name of the YSE cookie, quite a few users have problems logging in/staying logged in.  After you change the name of the cookie (Forum Preferences and Settings), users can stay logged in without any problems.

Here's what I do... especially since I have 4 YSE boards running at http://forums.therealms.net/

For each board, I do an abreviation or actual name of my forums then YSE then version, then level...

So, for my own forums, I did "ForumsYSE151F" (without the quotes.  For the Wanna Be Frugal forums, I did "WBFYSE151F", for Heresy, I did "HeresyYSE151F".

Devel team, we need to have the cookies name changed or configured upon initial installation/upgrade, rather than letting people use a default one.  Just my suggestion.

Anyways, as I said, put in your own custom cookie name, do not include spaces or punctuation.  Mix casing and letters and numbers, that does work.  :)
