Deleting IMs?

Is there any way to occasionally delete ALL the old Istant Messages of users? I noticed that users usally don't delete them.

Not without using phpMyAdmin, no.

run this query.. "truncate {db_prefix}instant_messages;"

replace {db_prefix} with your actualy prefix.

Note that this will delete ALL the instant messages.

You may want this:

DELETE FROM yabbse_instant_messages
WHERE msgtime < UNIX_TIMESTAMP('YYYY-MM-DD');

Where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you want to be 'old'.
