removing quotes means it won't be xHTML compliant anymore...  :o

Try YaBB Light Edition for a really light weighted-YaBB ;)

Well, you might want to hold a bit.  I've optimized a version that produces the same browser-safe output.... does it at lower bandwidth... AND is around 30% faster on this server.

It is very poor coding in html to do this:
<font face=ugly, bad>

Or this in xhtml:
<br>

There are good reasons for this, not the least of which being that it isn't so great for some browsers.

Whether you care about XHTML or not is entirely up to you, but I simply can't believe you're asking if you can offer a YaBB SE version deliberately stripped of its standards compliance for download here! ::)

Many professional site designers (and makers of WYSIWYG editors) don't care about standards either, but that doesn't make them right...

I do?  I haven't given it a name yet.... I just refer to it as "my secret project".

Personally, I think xhtml looks cleaner... but in my secretr project, you could make your own theme.... that would be uncompliant... and *slightly* lower bandwidth.

I was only stating that you call it your "secret project" which is why I said YaBBSE Secret Project. ;)
