Help With Graphics/css Please.

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with the background on my forum.
Note the black area blocking out the Nav links:

And again:


Can anyone tell me which setting controls this area? I would like to change it away from the black so that the nav links can be seen. Prefereably i'd like to replace it with a background image.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm... check your forum template, u might have a table with black bgcolor that wraps the main table
