Can I limit the number of posts for a user?

Is there a way to limit the number of posts a user can post in a day or some other time period?  A few guys just never shut up and I'd like slow them down. I did see the "time between posts" which is not what I need though.

There is a mod for this in the Conpleted Mods board.  Currently, it only allows a single post, but I'm sure David (the mod's author.) or someone from this board will be willing to help you modify it to fit your needs.
