News not working !

Okay, i have tried to install it outside the CGI_BIN, but i get the same error....

Running PHP 4.2.3 and YabbSE 1.4.1

Okay this is the last post i will make on this subject....

Running YabbSE 1.41
PHP 4.2.3

The Forum is running fine, without any errors
The <? recentTopics(); ?>
 thing works on my frontpage
BUT
When i try to include this on my frontpage
<? include("/cgi_bin/yabbse/index.php?action=news;board=9"); ?>
 it will fail with this error :

Warning: Failed opening '/cgi_bin/yabbse/index.php?action=news;board=9' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php\includes;d:\wolf

gi_bin\yabbse') in d:\wolf\index.php on line 69

If i use this line
<? include("/cgi_bin/yabbse/index.php"); ?>
It shows me some of the board but as soon as i put a ? after it will fail....

I have used about 2½ days trying to solve this and have been surfing the net for possible solutions, but with no luck.
If noone has any solution, then i would like to thank those who tried to help me, and go remove it all again.

Okay, finally i found a solution !
Instead of using include i used readfile...
I saw this mentioned somewhere on this forum.

<? readfile("http://wolf.dehn.net/cgi_bin/yabbse/index.php?board=9;action=news;template=ntemplate"); ?>

I have got problems with the news too, I get this error:

2: setlocale() [function.setlocale]: Passing locale category name as string is deprecated. Use the LC_* -constants instead.

And when I try to get in diretly to http://roxette.cs.caltech.edu/runto/forum/index.php?action=news;board=18;limit=10;template=noticias_r2r
I get the same error :-( can someone please help me?

try removing ;template=noticias_r2r  from the url

The setlocale error is caused by you having an older version of YaBB SE.

I recommend you upgrade to 1.5.1.  It fixes this, and so much more^TM.
