How do I keep categories from being viewed by guests?

I am having problems with the Only access for cetain membergroups option. I have not changed the name of the groups but when I enter them into the box it doesnt work. It is restricted to everyone but the admin...

Please help! thanks in advance

use the [!] button there to help you add the membergroup name in Edit Categories page ;)

I only see global mod and admin when I push the ! button.. Is it suppose to be like that?

yes, it will be only for Admins, Global Mods, and custom membergroups
check the Admin FAQ in admin help board for more details
