Seemless YabbC buttons - update - finished

Update: The LCD Orange button set with Seemless YabbC buttons is now complete.

The YabbC buttons won't show up properly unless you adjust the size in post.php.  The code to find and replace is in the zip file.

Some significant changes need to be made in order to get all the buttons to run together.  I haven't gotten around to it yet, because I'm waiting for a final 1.5.1 before I start.  If you want to take it on, please share with everyone else.

You  can see how it works a little better at My Crappy Test Forum.  Remeber to login as yabbuser/yabbpass so that you can reply or start a new thread and see the buttons.

I'm working on some main buttons to match the theme.  I don't want to release them until the entire package is done.

Well, there's good news and bad news.  The good news is that the buttons are finished



The bad news is that it's going to take some major editing to push all of the buttons together properly.  So much so that I'm not even going to think about implementing this until after a final 1.5.1...  I'm not doing all that work 2x.  You can see a partial implementation on the site linked in the first post.

regardless, those look very sharp. I imagine people will try to implement that design in their own boards.

Thanks.  When I do this in 1.5.1 I'll document every thing and then post the required code changes.  But it's going to be alot.  Right now the biggest problem is that when there is a print block in the code:

Code Select Expand

print <<<EOF
   [snip]
   [/snip]
EOF;

It forces a space before and after the block.  This is automatically putting spaces in between half the buttons, so these blocks have to be replaced with

Code Select Expand

print ("[snip][/snip]")

not difficult, just very time consuming.

However: you should note that these buttons were heavily based on some photoshop tutuorials found at http://robouk.mchost.com.  This guy is really good...  take a look at his lcd orb tutorial, and you can do this much better than I did.

i liked the mac OSX text tutorial, i always wanted to know how to do that!
