How to remove space between navigation menu images? is it a bug?

Hello I am using the navigation menu of YaBB SE 1.5.1 build 42 and I am wondering how to remove the super ugly space between the navigation menu images.

Here is a picture to show you what I mean:


I tried changing all 4 the nav instances in the template stylesheet to a smaller font but that is not what it's causing it...

Does anybody have a solution or is it a bug in YaBB???

I have the same thing on my end as well. I did not write the software, but I highly doubt that it is a bug. I am guessing that there is a  border="1" somewhere that is the cause of it. But not sure, that is just my guess. I didn't even notice the gap until I saw your post. I hardly even look overthere. But always good to make improvements. Hopefully these types of feedbacks are helpful to the developers.

I suppose it is some setting in your template which is causing that extra space. Could you give a link to your board?

I tried removing my stylesheet and leaving only the original one from the original template and it didn't work but I'll have to do another test...

Hello there I am back after a couple of days because I have finally found the time to do the test: I removed ALL of my settings, I basically used the original template and that ugly space still remains there... Can somebody help me? Isn't there anybody else who has the same problem and found a fix?

i think it is designed like that
if u dont want it, u can make/stretch the image larger

Hi Spaceman-Spiff, maybe you misunderstood me... I like the navigational menu but I don't like the space that there is between the images on different lines... Stretching the images doesn't help because there still will be a space between them... Any ideas?

Maybe one has to look for some table height attriabute. The images are in some table cells, and those height is probably larger than the image. Dont know if this is hard coded or produced by some template property.

I am afraid you are wrong. I looked at the code of the page and the images are NOT in a table, they are just spilt on different lines with simple <br> tags therefore one would assume that the text defines the height of those text lines... I have tried making the text smaller (size 1) and that didn't help either so I don't know what to do... Does anybody know of any CSS attribute that can be applied to text in order to make the text line height smaller???
