Advanced PM Mod

For as much as I am loving Yabb SE, I have to confess that the PM system is cumbersome and lacking in helpful features.  

I have looked for a mod to improve the situation, but haven't found one.  If there IS one available, I'd be grateful if someone could point me towards it.  But if there isn't, here are a few suggestions for a mod:

1. Eliminate the automatic viewing of messages (a la Outlook style).  It slows loading time and wastes bandwidth.

2.  Eliminate the redirect to the outbox (fixed it myself manually, but would be nice to have it in a mod package).

3. Allow users to delete multiple messages at one time via radio buttons.

4.  Show whether or not a PM has been a. replied to and b. read by recipient.

I was working on a mod that makes a sound when you have a new im. Kind of like when you get mail thru AO Hell.

"ding, you got mail!"

but then I got side tracked with life...

Could you post the changes you made to get rid of the redirect? It's annoying and think many of us would appreciate it if you could..

I don't have a clean copy of Instantmessage.php, so I might not be exact about the original code- but what I did was search for instances of "imoutbox" related to redirect commands and changed them to simple "im."  Like:

Code Select Expand

$redirect = 'imoutbox';
and

Code Select Expand

$redirect = ($caller == 1) ? 'im' : 'imoutbox';
Changed to:

Code Select Expand

$redirect = 'im';
and

Code Select Expand

$redirect = ($caller == 1) ? 'im' : 'im';

That wierd are you guys using an out dated file? Cause we fixed this on 1.4.0 I checked here and my live site and test site and it redirects back to main im box, not the out box. I looked at the codes and that the way it set up also.

Hmmm  Maybe...?  I just downloaded a little over a week ago, though- has there been an update in the past 10 days or so?
